I’m Emily, owner of Emily Wells Design, and I’ve been partnering with brands all over the globe crafting custom identity design for over 10 years.

We take the time to really get to know your business and vision, and then translate that into a completely unique brand suite that effectively represents your business and helps you reach your goals. We work with you to make sure that your design is perfect, and we make sure you have everything you need to confidently run your brand with ease.

Typography is really important to us, and we love how a font alone can tell an entire story, so we invest time researching and studying the right fonts for your brand. We work with each individual letterform and explore how they might puzzle-piece together. We explore elements completely unique to your brand, and every design detail we create has intention and meaning- nothing is “just because.
We focus on hierarchy and always consider the viewers experience, making sure that what is most important will be seen first. We love focusing on the small details that make a big impact. We want you to receive all the branding pieces you need, and none that you don’t, and on your timeline too. We offer one signature brand package and process, with a set investment and timeline, and then allow you to add on the design pieces or services your need when you need them through our Collateral Catalogue.
We pride ourselves on being intuitive designers taking what we’ve learned and researched abour your business and target audience and turning that into a brand that resonates. We explore lots of concepts and ideas, and present to you the designs we feel are the best match.
What’s Included:

We begin with a thorough but concise brand questionnaire from you as well a Pinterest Board. We’ve got a step-by-step system for creating your brand board.

We take your information and curate a brand mood board with your overall brand aesthetic and color palette. This is the launching point for how we design, and a visual map for you as you continue to build your brand, take brand photos, curate your instagram and more.

We also create a logo inspiration board letting you in on the direction we are considering going with your brand design. You get to make changes to both this board and the mood board if necessary to make sure we are both comfortable and confident by the time we start designing.

This phase is the longest, and most important step! We really take our time exploring design concepts, doing font and color studies, and creating elements that are completely unique to your brand. We flesh out several ideas and present to you 2-3 full brand suites. You will see each complete suite with logo variations, color palettes, and mockups to show how your brand would look brought to life. We present these to you in video format, as if we were sitting together.

You will receive between 20-30 logo variations. This includes your main logo, secondary logo, and logo mark, and any combinations you may need for your brand. We give you 4 different file types (for print and web) and your logo files in each color of your color palette.

You will receive your full color palette along with the HEX and PMS color codes that can be used to match your colors in both print and digital.

We give you your brand fonts along with a detailed guide on how to use them (with recommended sizing, spacing, and hierarchy).

This is the complete “how-to” guide for using your brand files successfully to create a cohesive and curated brand.

We provide digital, print ready files for you and everyone on your team. We offer printing services as well.

We provide you a social media template in Canva that’s perfect for Instagram Stories but can be used on Pinterest as well. It can easily be edited and duplicated.

The small website browser tab icon will be provided to you in the necessary file formats.

Once you become an EWD client, you have access to the Collateral Catalogue- our menu of a la carte design pieces. Whether it be package design, social templates, forms, etc. we want to continue working with you for all your design needs!

the custom brand identity process is approximately 8 weeks

We really get to know you and your business before we ever put pen to sketch pad, or mouse to computer. We have you fill out a concise but thorough brand questionnaire, as well as provide us with a Pinterest board. We provide detailed instructions for creating your board, and many of our clients find this process really fun and also clarifying!

We take all the information you provide us and create a brand mood board for you. This is our visual map. It’s really great for you, to reference as you build your brand, take brand photos, curate your instagram, etc. and it’s the launching point for how we design. We keep it in front os us the whole time. We also create a logo inspiration board, letting you in on where we are considering going with your brand design. You may make changes to both of these pieces, and we will get them just perfect, so we are both comfortable and confident before we ever start designing.

2 rounds of revisions are included in your package. We typically use the first round to implement all your ideas, changes, and feedback, and use the second round to perfect your chosen brand suite.

Next we create your official brand files. You will be receiving hundreds of files from us, but they are very organized and we provide both a PDF guide and a video guide on how to use your brand assets.

From here, we can move on to any additional design items you’d like to add to your brand. We are here to provide as much design support as you would like! Whether it’s package design, template for social media, website assets, etc. we are here to help!
